Classical Music Love
Hi, I'm greywashed. I'm 15 years old, and I have played flute and oboe, but have stuck with piano, which I started playing first. I love classical music because it gives you deep insight into the very idea of emotion. It's absolutely beautiful. I do listen to other types of music, but classical is by far my favorite. I am a fan of Saint-Saens and Satie, Smetana and Mendelssohn. Particular to Gymnopedie.

Does anyone know where I can find a piano arrangement of Bach's Prelude in G for cello (BWV 1007)?

Any help would be most appreciated :)

Palladio [Jul. 14th, 2006|08:13 pm]
Classical Music Love

I've been a fan of classical music ever since I played the piano back when I was only three feet high. So, I thought I'd share "Palladio" because I started learning it not too long ago for school. I currently play the violin (wow, listen to the piece!) and since this is such an interesting song, well... why not, right?

I hope everyone enjoys. After all, classical music is a wonderful thing. I've always enjoyed it. I get irritated whenever it's left out in school functions or celebrations, expecially the orchrestra. Being an Orch Dork... kinda sad whenever admins at school never mention you when you're staring them in the face. So... yeah. Sharing the love. ^_^

Hello! I saw this community, read some entries, and thought that I might fit in here. Just a few words about myself... I'm 15 years old, and I play clarinet. I think that is efficient. Anybody here like Modest Mussorgsky? I so love his music! I like classical music because it tells stories, and makes me feel emotions. Music that doesn't do that is just kind of there.

I like Modest Mussorgsky because he wrote music on how he saw life: cruel, raw, and undisciplined. Does anyone know what I mean? Whenever I show his music to people, they give me odd looks when I tell them that.

I like the Russian sound of music. Anybody else agree with me? There's a lot of clarinets in Russian music.

Just curious...if anybody would care to answer, what is your favorite classcial song EVER? Mine is On the Steppes of Central Asia!!!

Hey. I was wondering if anyone had an mp3 of Beethoven's "Rage over a lost penny". I love that song. Would any one happen to have the sheetmusic too? Thank you! :D

Hello, I'm new.
My name is Nori and I play flute, bassoon, bass and sing opera and other various classical forms of music.

I have a dilemma. I'm supposed to be singing Schubert's Ave Maria at a wedding tomorrow, and I have the flute arrangement. So, no words. I have the words, but am currently unable to match up words with notes. Silly Schubert, making it hard for Nori.

My question: Can anybody point me to an mp3 of anybody singing Schubert's Ave Maria?

There will be much love, and of course e-cookies. ^.^

Hey guys,

I just joined, here. I play violin (and to a lesser extent, cello and harp.) What do you guys play? Anyone play violin or cello?

Right now I'm obsessed with Ravel. And also chronically with Saint-Saens. What do you guys think? :D
